Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would usually use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to raise personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
