Haulotte Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts San Antonio

Haulotte Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts San Antonio

Traditionally, industrial lifts have been used in production and manufacturing environments to lower and raise work things, individuals and supplies. The scissor lift, also called a table lift, is an industrial lift that has been modified for retail and wholesale environments.

Most clients, who have been in a store late at night, shopping the aisles, have almost certainly seen one, even though they did not realize what it was. Essentially, the scissor lift is a platform with wheels that acts like a lift truck. In a non-industrial setting, the scissor lift is ideal for completing tasks which require the speed or mobility and moving of supplies and individuals above ground level.

The scissor lift is a unique machinery in that it does not use a straight support in order to lift employees into the air. Instead, the scissor lift platform rises when the folding and linked supports beneath it draw together, making the equipment stretch upward. Once the machinery is extended, the scissor lift reaches approximately from 21 to 62 feet or 6.4 to 18.8 meters above ground. This depends on the size of the unit and the purpose.

Rough terrain scissor lifts are usually powered by hydraulics or electric motors. It could be a bumpy ride for workers in the lift going to the top. The design of the scissor lift keeps it from traveling with a constant velocity, rather than traveling slower with more extension or traveling faster during the middle of its journey.

The RT of rough terrain class of scissor lift are an extremely popular class of lift. RT models will usually feature increased power of the IC or internal combustion engine. The variations come in gas, petrol, combinations or diesel. This is considered necessary to deal with the increased weights and steeper grades of 18 to 22 degrees that are usually connected with this particular style of scissor lift.
