Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular type is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering very simple.
Generally, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several models of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machinery do not make exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the suitable alternative for closed areas such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not suggested to be used indoors since it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
