In order to be a successful model, a lift truck has to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for numerous hours of use. It must be able to move loads effectively and quickly too. The equipment has to also be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain needs the power to always provide great durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with strong gears and extremely tough shafts. The transmission, engine, steer axle and drive are all isolated to lessen both noise and vibration inside of the operator's compartment.
Mazda and GM Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which needs minimal adjustment or repair. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which adjusts automatically in order to lessen maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. Moreover, the auto deceleration feature reduces break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Engineered for added durability, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods which could add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Furthermore, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made many safety features and ergonomic features part of their standard packages. These machinery would handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
